From the Author of this Plug-In

First: this project is made for my personal needs, then I decide to publish it because I think some people may need it. This is not a tool for pirating. It’s good or bad depend on how you use it. Please don’t make me look bad because of this.

APK Downloader is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to download Android APK files from Android Market to your PC

So the new Android Market is rolling out and I like the change.
I looks Clean and Clear, simple to use and utilizes the screen real estate much better
What do you think about the new look?

Price – $1.99

So, what does this app do?
It changes your lock screen and you can simply configure and modify it to your likeing.
You can launch the camera with a quick flick or place any of your Widgets (if it fits) on your lock screen (like smooth calendar etc…)

Place Android Widgets and Shortcuts on your lock screen. Long-press to move just like in Home. Many settings, such as volume keys at lockscreen or trackball unlock

Optional Easy Wake, use any button (volume/camera/trackball) to wake
Dinc trackpad mixed results, investigating.

So As this is a site about Android Applications and Y’all are still waiting for my Development guides (I know hold on please)

I would like to start my app recommendation section.
I’m splitting it into two sections, Free and Paid while the Free Section might have apps that have a paid version.

So feel free to check out my App Brain App list and add me as a friend

So let’s start with we have an APP on the market for this site.
I must mention that I found this app through MobilityFreak.Co.Il (Great Mobil News site in Hebrew)

So now the how? very simple very easy and the idea is to stream your RSS feed into a mobile based content.
They are planning to release an iPhone version but I don’t know when or how easy it will be.
The service is FREE but please consider donations (as it’s free and a great service!)

Feed.nu makes it possible!

  • No programming skills needed
  • Instantly available

Follow this 5 simple steps and you are good to go.

  1. Register an account
  2. Log in and enter your feed in Feed settings
  3. You may want to upload your own custom images and change colors under Appearance (optional)
  4. Generate your own android app by clicking Android and then generate, wait a minute or two and then download your APK file.
  5. Upload your APK to Android Market

As for the Android Market, you will need to register as a Developer ($25 one time fee)
And then upload your APK (I will have a different post about this)

Here is a screen shot from the app
